Holly Big Canoe - Director of Strategic Planning and Analysis Branch of the Ministry of Children and Youth Services responded to a request I made to the Ministry to ask if their five year review of the Child and Family Services Act has yet been initiated.

She responded stating that the Minister is "currently undertaking activities" to prepare for the 2010 review of the Act and that the report will be made public in March of 2010.

I then wrote a letter to her on June 29, 2009 asking the following clarification

I received and appreciate your response letter dated June 10, 2009 wherein you stated that the Minister is "currently undertaking activities" to prepare for the 2010 review of the Act and that the report will be made public in March of 2010.

Could you please clarify what the stated "activities" currently being undertaken by the Minister are in preparation for the 2010 review, and if at any time the Minister has sent correspondence or sought in any way input or feedback from any organizations, corporations, agencies, societies, entities, service providers, residential services, individuals, or anyone outside of the Ministry of Children and Youth Services regarding, or in connection with, the pending review of the Act?
